Johnny Again Covering Formula 1 for Sky Sports
The start of the 2015 Formula 1 season sees Johnny busy travelling the world again in his role as pundit for the Sky Sports F1 channel.
This year’s championship kicked off in traditional style in Melbourne on Sunday 15th March at Albert Park and saw World Champion Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes-Benz take the chequered flag and carry on the form that saw him take the 2014 title. Once again, his German teammate Nico Rosberg was his closest competition, following him over the line just over a second behind.
Four time champion Sebastian Vettel is looking in better shape this year, having had a difficult time in his final season at Red Bull. Now with Ferrari, he claimed third place Down Under and at the Malaysian Grand Prix turned the tables on the Mercedes-Benz drivers by taking victory ahead of Hamilton and Rosberg, who ran in second and third respectively, to become the most successful driver ever on the Sepang circuit with 4 wins.
The Formula 1 roadshow now heads to Shanghai after an Easter break, where practice starts on Friday 10th April. With the Mercedes-Benz again looking like a great car and with Ferrari and Williams both getting off to decent starts, we can look forward to a fine season ahead.
