Johnny helps Aviva out on the track
To debunk the myths of driving stereotypes, Aviva teamed up with Johnny Herbert to launch the “Who’s the safe bet?” campaign. Three driving stereotypes – a white van man, a grandmother and a school run mum were put through their paces by Johnny in a series of driving challenges covering accelerating, braking and cornering. Over the course of a week, the “stereotypes” also had to drive 200 miles using Aviva’s new app – Aviva Drive to prove once and for all who really is, the safest driver. Upon clocking up 200 miles of journeys, the Aviva Drive app awards drivers with an individual score between 0-10 (10 being the safest).
Having completed the 200miles drive, Bernie, the white van man, won the challenge against school run mum and cautious granny achieving a safe driving score of 9.2 out of 10 on the app.
